# Public sources

> Medicare, codes, literature, trials, and chemistry Rivvi can look up with no sign-in.

**Settings → Connectors** is more than the accounts you sign into. The same page has public sources. They need no API key and no **Connect** button.

The detail says **No sign-in. On for the workspace until you turn a tool off.** The page tabs are **Accounts**, **Clinical**, and **Research**. A tab only shows when something in it is ready. **Add connector** groups the same lists as **Your accounts**, **Clinical**, and **Research**. The **+** menu in chat can turn one off for that chat. Turning it off does not delete anything.

These sources are public reference data. They do not read your patients. A write-back does not exist on them.

## Clinical

| Source | What you can ask |
| - | - |
| **Medicare Plans** | Advantage and Part D plans by county. It does not enroll anyone, and it does not say whether a doctor is in network. |
| **Medicare Formulary** | Drug tier, prior auth, and limits. |
| **CMS Coverage** | Medicare NCDs, LCDs, and articles. |
| **ICD-10 Codes** | Diagnosis codes and names. |
| **HCPCS** | Procedure and supply codes. |
| **LOINC** | Lab and clinical observation codes. |
| **NPI Registry** | U.S. healthcare providers. An NPI does not say whether a doctor is in a plan's network. |
| **Clinical Trials** | Trials registered on ClinicalTrials.gov. |

## Research

| Source | What you can ask |
| - | - |
| **PubMed** | Biomedical citations. |
| **Europe PMC** | Life-science literature, including full text where it is open. |
| **bioRxiv & medRxiv** | Life-science and medical preprints. |
| **ChEMBL** | Bioactive molecules and development phase. |
| **PubChem** | Compound formula, weight, and structure. |
| **RxNorm** | Normalized drug names and RxCUIs. |
| **Open Targets** | Targets, diseases, and drugs. |
| **UniProt** | Protein sequences and names. |
| **openFDA** | Drug labels and indications. |
| **Synapse.org** | Sage scientific datasets. Most files stay behind the data owner's access controls. |
| **GWAS Catalog** | Published genome-wide association studies. These are published studies, not a diagnosis. |
| **RCSB PDB** | Experimental protein structures. |
| **AlphaFold DB** | Predicted protein structures. |
| **ClinVar** | Variant clinical significance. |
| **Reactome** | Curated human pathways. |

Each source has **Example questions** on its detail page. Ask in the same words.

Sources that are licensed or not wired yet do not appear in Settings, including in search.
